Search eBay for your monitor model number, recently I have seen several computer supply guys offering extended FFCs for a variety of monitors.

Also, search the forums, I remember seeing a post somewhere with a link to a company that may be able to build you a custom entension.

Check at Digi-Key. They have all sorts of ffc connectors. I am getting ready to order some supplies to extend my LV.

They have the connectors, but how do they terminate? That is, how do you get a ribbon cable, etc into the connector? Are they clamping or do you have to solder each lead into it?
jeremyvnc
either solder or just plugged in like a regular connecter.

I plan to solder mine. The one on the sode of my panel should be easy (11pin 1mm form), but the 2 that come down from the bottom board will be harder (40pn 0.5mm form. That's 40 pins in a 2cm width.) Wish me luck!
