Hey guys, ive been trying to search for CNC plans for differents styles of projectors of the site... but cant search for cnc so that leaves me in a spot... anyways, does anyone have any cnc plans i could have a look at or know of pages on the site with them, as i have access to cnc tools and it would be far preferale to use the machine than balls it up trying to do it by hand...

Cheers guys.

Are you looking for Plans for a CNC Machine? It kinda sounds like your looking for the actual code for a CNC Machine to cut a pojector parts for you?

If you need g-Code then i have some and you may can ask Haas-Man also.

Haas_man, HomeCNC, Pulsareus, or myself are the only ones i Know of that has cut the projector on a CNC Machine.

Here is a link to the code for a mill to cut the profile and grooves. It uses a 1/4" and 1/8" cutters.

Awesome! Thanks guys!
Is the also code for the front and rear panels?
How hard would it be to alter the code so that the would be a flat spot on the bottom parallel to the light path so that the box could be sat on a stand or cabinet?
Oh also, is there room in there to fit the ballast? If i could get away with it i'd prefer to have everything internal smile.gif

Cheers.

you do not alter the code, the code is made from drawings, you would alter the drawings then regenterate the code from them.
taity
Oh okie dokie, Cheers Joe smile.gif
what do i need to alter the drawings and generate code?
i assume i cant open the gif's / jpgs on the other pages and then alter them with cad software or what not could i? so where would i start?

Cheers guys, this is greatly appreciated smile.gif

No images are know as raster format, and drawings are vector format, you can search the internet and find the actual meaning if you like. But in short no you can not edit the jpg and produce the drawings, you can do a conversion but it does not work very well at all, I only use this for topography maps and such that i need to bring into existing drawings, you can either draw the plans up or see if someone has then already done, mine i just did the basic lines just to produce the g-code from it for the side only to do a test on my CNC Machine.. (here is the picture of it)

I didnt know thats how it worked. I just design something in the cad program, and it knows each part individually?

I guess i am going to need to learn a bit about cad programs.
Any suggestions for places on the internet to learn cad?
