I have the LL wiring kit and just wanted to hook up mye ballast and bulb to check the placement of my light, can anyone tell me the best way to hook it up. And please, explain it to me like I'm stupid, I know very little of the electrical terms... Thanks all.

If you got the Lumenlab wiring kit, you should also buy an attic fan thermostat. (great idea anyway)

Here are links to descriptions on what you need to do.

Have you made any progress on understanding the wiring diagram I linked you to earlier? You should should be able to figure it out if you are willing to spend the time to study it. We can't do it for you. If you have any questions about any specific part of a diagram, I, or others will do our best to answer them. First I need to see some evidence of effort on your part. It will be much easier to help you if you have questions that are less general in nature. Don't apply electricity to anything until you have a better understanding of what you are doing. I will not be responsible for you killing yourself. The test fire of your lamp should wait.

Lol, No not panic, just cautiousness. I'm sure I can do it, just needed a little insight. I've got my evercools working properly, wired and running perfect. Just wondering what people are using as their main input(from wall to the projector. Is it just an everyday extension cord? And I'm assuming that the extension has 3 wires, hot, common and ground. Is this correct? And I just hook wires accordingly to the ballast with the ground going to the center connection on the ballast. Then out from the ballast to the mogul? Or I follow the wire diagrams here. I'm sure I can do it I just don't know all the terminology, So for the 120vac in the top left corner of the picture here http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6221&hl=
, would that be the extension cord running into the projector? Also I have the LL wiring kit and I wasn't sure the best way to hook it up.

Use a PC power cord. You bought the wiring kit and as I check the pic it has a receptacle with the switch. If you need to run an extension cord off the PC power cord so be it.

That diagram shows the wall outlet as if you were looking straight at it. Look at a wall plug carefully. Notice that one of the two upper recepticals is longer than the other. (The one in the upper left) This is the Neutral (assuming your house is wired correctly, but that is another discussion) Most 2-prong plugs are polarized (meaning that the one prong is a little wider than the other). Is is supposed to make it so that the plug only fits in one way. So, if you look at a household wall outlet you will have in the upper left the common (white) which has wider receptical, in the upper right is the hot (black), and the bottom round is the ground (green).

Not sure I understand this comment. The ground wire is actuall of little use in a DIY PJ. The ground is a saftey wire that provides an easy path for an electrical fault.
Its good to have it attached to the case if your using a metal frame but since most PJS are wood you can't really ground the case. You can sometimes use it as a grounding drain or shield and it would be good hooked to the case of an eballast or other metal items that carry voltage.

In short . Don't use it as part of the electrical circuit.
