I have been reading through the forums for about a month now, and been waiting for all my goodies to arrive. I have finally gathered all my supplies, and got a few hours to work on my projector. Here is a list of parts I am using:

CMV 522a LCD from NewEgg for $169.00
M59 Ballast from 1000bulbs for $43.00
BT-28 Bulb from work for $20.54
Lense kit from LL $65.00
Wiring Kit from LL $25.00
Bulb Base from LL $10.00
2 PCAC fans from LL $30.00
1/2" MDF board $17.95
Anti static wristband and work mat from Radioshack $30.00
Various switches and hardware from Home Depot and Lowes.

Box measures 30"Lx12"Hx15"W, I have it pretty much done. I painted the inside with High heat temp paint.

I have wired the Light and working on getting the fans wired in. I will probably tear down the LCD tomorrow. I still need to build a frame for the lenses and LCD, Cut a hole for the Triplet, and make my focusing mechanism. It will probably just be a smaller box inside with handles on the front, I want to keep it pretty simple. Here's a few pics of what I've done so far. Any suggestions are welcome.

Does anyone have suggestions for building a frame for the LCD and Fresnels? I am having some trouble figuring out how to get them all lined up.

There are may ways.

A lot people that have built horizontal boxes cut slots in a block of wood using a table saw and slide the Fresnels/LCD into them. Browse through the plogs to get an idea.

Joe2000Chevy has a pre-made frame with keystone correction for vertical PJs here --> http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5945

pun15her used "L" shaped wood. --> http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4897

Some different options using Screen Frame and aluminum channel are here --> http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5895

Since mine is a vertical, I used a combination of Screen Frame, slotted wood and masonite --> http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?s...pic=6293&st=20#

I guess you should just pick a way that you are comfortable making with the skills/tools you have. Lining the lenses / LCD up is just a matter of taking careful measurements. And, since the mounts are generally replaceable, nothing is harmed by taking a shot at it. Good Luck! wink.gif

Thanks for the Info. I'll give it a shot this weekend.

I used 1/2 square wood that you can get at HD in 3 foot sections. Check my plog for some details. I tried to take you through the process with pics and dialogue.
I personally would recomment seperate frames for all so you can adjust each individually. Good luck and if you have questions hit me with a pm.
