I came across a good deal on a Cornea 15" lcd monitor with the following specs and was wondering if it is suitable for use in a projector.

Pixel Pitch (h × v) 0.297mm × 0.297mm
Viewing Angle Left:+75°, Right:-75°, Up: +55°, Down:-70°
Liquid Crystal Mode Normally White (TN)

Contrast Ratio (typical) 300:1
Brightness (typical) 250 cd/m2
Response Time (typical) 25 ms
Scanning Frequency Horizontal 31-61 Khz

The contrast ratio is poor, and the response time is a little high.

The best monitor to use for performance and price is the CMV 520D.
It has a contrast ratio of 500:1 and a 16ms response time.

Or the BenQ 557V2 or even the DVI version which has a different #.

The DVI version is the Benq fp591. The trouble with using an unknown monitor is that you do not know if the ffc'sare an issue. I would stick with one that we know works, unless you are getting it for $100 or under.

*nods* Never buy a monitor that you wouldn't be willing to use with your PC. That may, even if there are FFC issues, you still win.
