Full Version: Projected image size?

Apologies in advance if this has been discussed / is a stupid question, but i searched the forums and came up with nothing.

Is there any way to determine the size that the projected image will be? I am planning on doing the standard 15" lcd. (got most of the parts)

The distance from the screen to the front of the projector will be 8feet...

Thanks! smile.gif

Hey GlassX.

Based on my understanding it is a 1:1 ratio. So 8 ft away equals 8 ft diagonal size. I think you can also make adjustments to the size(to a certain extent) using the lcd's display controls but that can affect image quality.

If you have it hooked up to a PC then I think you can also play around with image size(not sure about that one yet)

cheers!

96" away should give you about a 90" wide screen. diag and height will depend on you Aspect ratio.

There is a focul length calculator in the forums but its always hard to find.

No, it's pretty easy to find... provided one knows what "focal length" means.
