This seems like a silly question at this stage of the game(have my parts and enclosure started)

but..

There's mention of attaching the fresnel to tempered glass, can I do the same with lexan(with binder clips, etc..) Or should I leave a gap?

thanks!

Leave a gap between the rear fresnal and the heat shield. Otherwise the fresnal will overheat. Some builders have reported this. You can directly attach the rear fresnal to glass or plastic if you wish, but make sure there is an additional gap and heat shield between the fresnal/glass assembly and bulb.
