Hello, I have a quick question...........

I am looking to go from a small form factor PC that will be running XP-MCE2005 to my LCDTV in my bedroom. I would prefer to use the onboard video (keep it small and cool) so I am looking to use the built-in VGA port. Does anyone know if this cable will work for this application? My LCDTV has component input, but a native res of only 640x480 (crappy 15" AQUOS!! )!!!! Thanks

Which video card are you using?
I think ATI has the ability to output component signals via their VGA port (they have custom adapters for this), but I am not sure if anyone other manufacturers do the same.

You cant just use that cable with a standard VGA signal, as a VGA cable has 2 more signal pins, one for Vertical Timing and one for Horizontal Timing. Your VGA device needs to support embedding the timing into the RGB pins (I dont know how they do it exactly).
