For those of you who dont know, there is a free program out there that simulates real pinball machines from yesteryear. Some of the table recreations are so realistic.

I want to make a pinball table but insted of a normal play field, have a blank rear projection screen on it.

Wouldnt it be fantastic to dial up any pinball machine and play it just like the real thing.

There is a prototype somehwere on the net but it uses an expensive and small plasma screen. I want a full size rear projection.

I will do it, its just a matter of when.

Here is a prototype. I want my table to look more like the orignal machines though.

It's a good idea for sure, but plasma screens are crashing in price; http://www.savastore.com/productinfo/produ...1&pid=2&tid=342 which would mean an easier build.

If I were to make a rear projection or plasma games machine it wouldn't be just for pinball, a MAME setup would be my goal with the pinball controls as extra.

That's a weird shaped pinball machine, I like the classic box with back plate on little legs design.
