I am finishing up wiring my pj, but have one question. I stripped the wires from my 12v adapter for my fan, but I do not know how to tell which one is the live wire, and which one is the ground. The only difference that I can see in the two, is that one has the companies writing on the outer casing for the wire, and the other does not. Any info would be greatly appreciated. THanks!

Which end do you mean? The AC or the DC? Actually on the AC end, power supplies are generally non polarized so it wouldn't matter which is which. If the plug just has two spades of the same size, it doesn't matter. If there is a wide spade, that is intended to be neutral.
On the DC end you could tell by marking one of the wires before you cut it. Make sure the mark is on both sides of the cut, then figure out which is which with a meter through the cut off plug. This is also not critical either as the fan will either run properly or not. If not , switch the wires. I've never heard of anyone damaging the fan by having the wires crossed.

It matters not on the AC side
You can use a volt meter to find the Positive side of the output. Short of that just hook up the fan . If it runs backward reverse the DC wires.

i used one to power up a line converter and i seem to recall that the wire with the print on it was the positive leg. cant guarantee that but i think that was how it metered out.

I think ron's right, the wire with the writing on it is the positive

Usually has that, or a white line on it.
Generally speaking the neg side usually has no markings or colors at all. One with any kind of markings or colors is generally the + leg.
