I've been using Theatertek with FFDshow, and the picture is great, but I installed the NVDVD software that came bundled with my Geforce 6800 GT, and since I couldn't use FFDshow with it, I haven't been using it. I tried it last night for the first time, and I gotta say, Wow, the picture was better than the Theatertek with the FFDshow. I'm curious as to why this is. Is it because my mobo has the nforce 4 chip, and I'm using the nvidia 6800 video card with the NVDVD software? I did some reading on this, and from what I can gather, the FFDshow with Theatertek, is all processed with software, while the NVDVD is processed with the hardware ( video card) Is this correct? Also, if anyone is using the NVDVD software and drivers...how do you get to certain things, like the Video Calibration, under the video tab, on the properties page? Mine is grayed out, where I can't click on it or open it...I have the OEM version, since it was bundled, and have updated to 2.55...Thanks for any help/comments!

I'm running NV DVD codecs with SageTV and the Nvidia DVD software (1.something). The software is very limited, but I do see superior Image Quality compared to PowerDVD. I get the same results with all Nvidia cards, including my 6800U & 6600GT.
I’ll check out what software options I have available tonight after work.
Anyone know how to get my (bundled with BFG) NVDVD software to work with my PNY 6600GT? They won’t play well together
