As long as the description states: DVI-D (digital) single-link male/male then it ought to be ok. I've read in a few places (including AVS) that dual-link cables are better for higher resolutions and other environments so maybe stick with single link for now. Also be wary of lengths greater than 5meters as its reported sparklies can appear, even more so at the higher resolutions; sxga etc etc.
Too bad dvi can be so fussy about its cable lengths.
I've got a 3 meter dual link cable, but the pins don't allow the plug to go into my CMV520D monitor. It only accepts the pins of a DVI-single link cable. *Uggh* My Dells accept the dual link though.

I bought a 5 meter (16.4 foot) VGA extension cable off eBay for £6, works great with my projector.
I also have a 5 meter superVGA cable. It looks great on the CMV520D via N6. The DVI port will hopefully be used by my HTPC.
