Hi
Im finally putting things together here.
I have the SGI 1600SW I got through Crusers group purchase.

I need help determining how to orient the LCD for my configuration.

Im building an upright projector. Bulb on the bottom shining up through the fresnel,LCD,Fresnel assembly then reflecting off a front side mirror to the projection lens.

When I built my first projector I found when I added the mirror it inverted the image so I had to reverse the LCD section to accomidate the inversion. I dont want to have to do that this time.

So what I have now is: (the projector is laying on its back on the work bench)
Standing behind the bulb looking up through the lens's I have the PC boards on the bulb side in the upper right hand side....(I'll pause while you digest that)

And the mirror at a 45 degree angle reflecting up...
Is this correct or should the mirror be set to reflect down ????

I tried to get it fired up today but I think the monitors fried... Long story but I have a horizontal bar about 2 inchs wide and a whole bunch of tiny vertical colored lines above that. Where I should have a windows desktop. The LED does change from yellow to green so it is seeing a signal.

I have another screen in the works after ripping my FFC clean off and then trying to have it repeaired. Which doesnt seem to have worked,,
Long story short be carefull with those little dudes they are fragile.

Anyway Thanks for your help hopefully someone knows exactly what Im talking about and can tell me up or down

On the lines and bars it may be you are not using the correct driver for your video card or forcing it to display in a resolution it only thinks it can do. I have had experience with

I did look at your projector earlier..
Going back to look again I can see where it should be by where its not ohmy.gif)
I do have it backwards from where it should be Thanks.. Saved me alot of time.
As far as the lines and the card Im taking it down to the guy that originally sold them and have it tested out with the repaired FFC. Well get it straight even if I need to buy some replacement parts...
Im using the ATI Radeon 9600 video card so its possible it could be a setting..Its been so long I cant remember exactly. We started these things ?? Last fall ??? Been a long time coming...
