First let me list the order in which I turn on my equipment.
1. computer
2. switch-1 (fans and lcd)
3. switch-2 bulb

This has happened twice in the past few days. I'll turn everything on, and the green light on my monitor control just blinks green. Everything else turns on fine. I have the Samsung 512N. My temp has not gotten above 77 degrees, and I ran it for 6 straight hours yesterday.
Do I have my temp probe in the right place? It's mounted in between the lcd and the rear fresnal, at the bottom of the enclosure.
Anyone know what could be causing the lcd not to come on? Or why it's blinking?
Should I not have my fans and lcd on the same switch? Thanks!

I have a 512N and have my fan and lcd on the same switch and have never had a problem.

Are all of your connections tight? Mainly the monitor cable coming out of the lcd circuit board and going to the computer. I don't think that you are having any problem with the power with the light blinking. It seems like something with the signal. If you turn your projector on first and then turn the computer on, do you still have the problem?

Another thing that it could be: Are you running the projector from a laptop? Laptops often require you to hit the blue function key and then something like f7(function key with the monitor picture) to switch to an external monitor.

So I guess try:
1)connections
2)projector on first, then computer
3)switching output if on a laptop

Only thing Samsumg has on it's site on a blinking LED is here . If possible try using a different computer, monitor cable, and power supply to help troubleshoot the problem. I'm thinking the power supply for that LCD is linear instead of switchmode so I doubt that's it. What frequency does the LED blink at?

I haven't tried that yet, but now that I think about it, that's probably it. I know on my other computer, I never power off the monitors, just the computer, and when I turn the computer on, the monitors come on. Technically, they were never off, just not receiving a signal from the computer. I unplugged, and re-plugged everything, and it came back on just fine. Might have been a loose connection, but from now on, I'll turn on the monitor first, then the computer. Thanks guys.
