Dscaler is nice and free.

I run a ReplayTV server in the computer room and use XBox Media Center XBMC to stream all recordings from the Replay Server. I plan to include my PVR-500MCE into the mix.

just got a license for SageTV. I'll be testing it out soon. ..but I'll probably use it as a server only.

I did not think dscaler could be used to run tv playback. I thought you had to use sagtv, mythtv, or something like that. I am looking fo rsomething that is not too expensive. I think sage tv is like $75 isn't it.

Dscaler doesn't work with hardware encoding cards like the pvr150 as far as I know. I use Sage to record and Zoomplayer to watch the recordings. I do not watch live programming with any of my pvr cards. I use dscaler with a compatible software card for that.

I have a pvr150 and watch tv on Dscaler just fine. I even can play games on it without a delay.

Is there any option to force dsaler to stop deinterlacing at all? I want to upscale a video signal from my capture card using ffdshow, but I don't want to have that (small) delay when playing games.

Dergrin,
I would love to know how to setup the pvr-150 to be able to play my xbox games with it. By the way, I love the avatar.

Have any of the SageTV guys been able to use Dscaler from within Sage?

update on how I watch TV now.

I use SageTV to record shows PVR-500MCE, and use XBMC to watch TV over the network.

I still don't think Sage is as sexy as ReplayTV's interface.

Mantis,
I guess I have already answered your question on the other thread. Thanks for the avatar complement. If the avatar size could be bigger, than there would be a photoshoped tattoo on his forehead saying "For the Horde!!!".

KOS,
I am using Dscaler4.

Im using the Winfast XP2000

Works fine for cable. Only problem is I can only get an analog audio signal out of it.
Just means I have to switch my reciever to analog to get sound while watching TV.
