I have a 17" LCD monitor and I got the Fresnel lens from the LL store. The Fresnels are smaller than the monitor and I was thinking that when I build the projector I wont be able to see all of the picture. I will be losing at least 3/4" on each side after I mount the Fresnel. Am I right in thinking I wont be able to see all of the picture?

yupe, you will only see what the fresnel covers ....

in other words no if you want the whole screen.

You need the pro lens set, not the standard set for a 17" pj.

Just my opinion, but I'm suprised that LL doesn't carry 330 and 220mm fresnels. For those of us who are intrepid (Foolish?) enough to attempt a 17 inch monitor with a non-standard lens.

Well this is not entirely true. It is possible to use the standard triplet and lenses that do cover the whole screen. Matropolis has done this with perfect results. Im planning on doing the same.
