Hi,
Has anyone here stripped down a samsung 152X or Viewsonic v500B?
we are looking around for a LCD ~ 150AU s/h but there doesnt seem to be that much around... any aussies on here, where did you get your LCD's and for how much?

also wondering about response time... does having a massive backlight shining through it make blur less noticeable? the viewsonic has a response of 30ms, which seems a bit slow... but I notice there are a few projectors on here made from slower panels with ok results.

cant wait to start building this thing smile.gif

thanks,
ppmz
I'm not exactly sure about those monitors, but the samsung sure sounds better.
30ms is a little slow, considering a normal PAL TV displays a field every 20ms.

Yeah but if your LCD is being refreshed for all that 20 ms time the image will be blurry all the time in moving shots. You need a monitor with response time half of the time the frame is shown (at least). But it's got to be gray-to-greay response time, not ISO. Don't compare apples to oranges.
