zroth
Looks awesome. thanks for sharing the results. I can't wait to get mine going.
Brett Fisher
I will get some internal pic's later, and do a spec list for you all... smile.gif this would have to be the best project that I have ever taken on, sad thing is I build this one for my brother as I can efford the parts yet, and he lacks the skills in some areas (if there is a nice way of saying that)
slayer1660
make another one, paint it white, and call it white power.

Hey Bret

Looking very nice..once u get a proper screen set up you'll be biggrin.gif

Can u post a few more PJ specific shots so we can see your build?
It looks like you have an extra fan above the LCD area. Have you three fans in all or just one for the light chamber>?
Brett Fisher
Gday All,
Sorry i have not gotten back with inside photo's still working on it. I must say I had a MOVIE night this saturday just gone and set the screen up better, I projected an Image 4100mm Diagnal man it was huge and guess what I could have made it bigger, clear as a bell, every one who attended were in awe of the
prodjector, I dont have pic's as I was hoping one of my mates the came would have brought his camera but he forgot...............

More soon..
uggmoe
I helped with the final stages of bretts projector, and in answer to your question, yes that is a third fan on top of the LCD - 120mm AC fan, to blow air in, and the two on the back to suck it out.

Sits nicely at around 34 degrees C....

I believe the white panther is on it's way... to my house!!
Brett Fisher
Gday All Sorry for taking so long to get back will inside pic's but here they are.

This is pre alloy heat shielding installed in rear section.

This little puppy is a Dyna-link plug and go TV tuner, that I have stripped to put into front of projector you can pug S-video, component, PC screen cable- sorry don't know the correct name of plug. In this one you can also see the focusing tube.

Front of projector, Focusing Lens, I have a lot of adjustment in the lens bigger and smaller smile.gif there is also a small perspex window for remote control for TV tuner.

Here we have the Lamp and $3 S/S salad bowl, transformer, Bridge rectifier for fans and TV tuner... Thanks for the help Peter from (Jaycar Albury) 400w Metal-halide choke. Please note all these components are now covered by Heat sheld

Last one, a bit of an over view, Note that the heat Shields are not in place and there is a piece of thin MDF for air diversion to go in just past the 2nd fres.

Thanks Lumenlabs for a Great product and a building community of great people.......
This would have to be the best thing that I have ever made.... and totally enjoyed every minute of it. Now all I need to do is Build one for myself as this one I build for my brother that tried the Fresnel's in front of the TV product.......
fore1337
Great project.
Do you have any closeups of the I/O ports located on the rear of your PJ? It looks very clean.
Brett Fisher

is it possible to show some more detailed pictures of your wiring job?or describe it
mantis
If you paint your aluminum flashing black, you may reduce some glare inside the pj and improve your brightness a bit more. Very sharp looking pj.
XxHust1erxX
which monitor did u use?
beekeeper
Great projector!

What reflector did you use and where did you get it from? Also why are your fans upside down?

Thanks.
Brett Fisher
The LCD is a Benq 567v2.

The reflector is a cheap salad bowl from 2 dollar shop It dose have a flat bottom but I dont find it a problem at all.

The reason for putting the fans upside down was to push the heat up instead of blowing it down over the back of the unit. Also with the unit possably beening mounted on the celing I didnt want a hot curtain of air blowing bown into peoples faces...
Brett Fisher
couple of more pic's to give poeple a Sizing, sorry about the quality of the pic

noobatron
where did you get your black focusing cylinder that your triplets sit in?
Brett Fisher
I made it smile.gif

Items:

Sub port
100mm PVC
small piece of timber that f/lens sits in.
counter sunk screws to hold timber into place.
Spray flat black.
after dry spray with silicone spray for it to glide, for easier focusing

I hope this helps ph34r.gif

Brett Fisher
OK this is the First shots of this massive projector....
Its a Coffee table, with projector installed into it, but that's not all. This puppy is a hamburger with the lot.
It will have its own built in PC, with High def gpix card. 7" Touch screen LCD on side, key board draw, with light above it (Back lite out of LCD monitor) auto cool down and off, so that you don't have to wait for things to cool down, and she can also hold 80 of your favourite DVD also with its own illumination.
The top will be made out of mini orb, sheet of glass and also have bule ccfl illumination (very efective)
