Great price on this at http://www.1000bulbs.com/search.php of only $51.59. I know LL's is 400 watt but for the price this should be a really good deal. I don't know much about this kind of stuff but it seems to be what we need. I don't mind giving up 50 watts to save $100.00. Am I right or being a newbie am I way off?

Oh Ok, but if we did get the right item. would this one work? Just curious.

Check the postage costs for that ballast. If they charge $20-$40 then the savings over an eballast would be insignificant. Also, make sure there are 350W lamps available that are of reasonable size. Also, take into account the added weight of a coil ballast (about 20 or so lbs vs 3lbs for an eballast) in your design. As an example, if you want to ceiling mount then that added weight will cause a lot of trouble.

Other than that I don't see why it wouldn't work. There are trade-offs, of course, but as long as you are aware of what they are then you should not have much problem getting it to work in your projector.
