I have stripped my lcd - Liquid Video 15". The lcd has two circuit boards attached by the edge connectors - one along the top and one on the side. These two boards are connected together by an "L" shaped flat wire that has no give whatsoever. I can't fold the circuit boards down because they are attached to each other, so they are going to get in the way of my image. What can I do?

You're looking at an FFC cable. The flat cable can be released by unclipping at the connectors. You'll need to find out what kind of FFC extension you will require. Read up on the FFC posts to learn more. smile.gif

uh.... that L-shaped flat wire is the FFC cable which connects both boards.. you have to get an extension for that. check the forums for FFC issues.. lots of info there

Thanks for bursting my bubble. I had read about all this ffc trouble, but had deluded myself into thinking the ribbon cable between circuit boards was my ffc, and its plenty long. Bummer.
