I'm thinking of buying Digital Calipers to help with the accuracy of linging things up in my build.

I've often seen in the forums comments like "mm's matter" and I was wondering if anybody here who's already been through it has an opinion on the matter.

In other words, looking back on your build, do you think digital calipers would have been useful or just another excuse to spend money on eBay?

Don't get the calipers. The critical measurements are over 6" long and these calipers are only 6". What I did was cut dowels to the exact measurements then I just held them up in the box to verify dimensions. There is a little bit of tweaking anyway to get it perfect.

I've been in the construction business my whole life, used power and hand tools my whole life, and was going to fumble around with my metric tape measure, like an idiot, inside the box to get my measurements. I'm glad you posted that, way easier...
