Benchun how can you say that definitively? Have you tested without a fresnel lens in the image path?
Your images do look great but I wonder if you remove a fresnel lens out of the image path you would not get a sharper image? I believe this is just basic optics that cannot be argued. There may be other advantages to putting the lcd between 2 fresnels but a sharper image is not one of them.
Well, from his quote, he says that splitting the fresnels results in better quality, which could mean color, brighness, etc... I didn't see anything there about him saying it produced a sharper image. It's been a while since anyone has posted in this thread. I hope that Benchun hasn't drifted too far away. There are a few questions I have for him.

amazing work! words fail me on the quality of the picture. Can you please ...please post the specifications of your box, distance of fresnels to bulb...etc. I can't see in your photo very well but do you have the fresnel lenses together? It looks like they are on top of one another.

Could you please tell me if actualy have you removed the antiglare filter from your lcd?
It seems to be a big trouble and the polarisers arent an easy thing to find in Greece +they are expensive.
Thank you.

The problem as I see it is once the pj is built they totaly forget that they've got fans. He's forgotten all about us and has been consumed by the beauty of his pj. Hey Benchun if you ever have time for us please post some specifications of your pj.
