I have been looking into understanding condensors lately...

I found a post at another forum explaining how to draw a condenser on paper and figure out where it should be etc etc, but no one had a mathematical way of calculating it.

I threw an excel sheet together that not only calculates this for you but it draws it out for you.

I can make no gurantee on this, but everything looks right.

The yellow boxes are variables, everything is in MM, and to see the graph you simple click on the "chart" tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet.

Hey, I could use something like this, but don't have MS Excel - is there any other option? Could you post a link to the original? Thanks.

Minoten, I want to be cool like you! My spreadsheet doesn't have neat graphics. (Mostly because I haven't figured out how to do it yet) I've got your math though. It's even in 3D. http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?s...view=getnewpost

OpenOffice.org is a multiplatform and multilingual office suite and an open-source project. Compatible with all other major office suites, the product is free to download, use, and distribute.

Seems like this spread sheet is working correctly with openoffice.org
Just downloaded it yesterday to use with a new computer, pretty good msoffice replacement for the home.
