Heres my PLOG....end of page 2 and start of page 3 for more details/images...BUT...

Basically I had my spillage to very acceptable levels without the reflector (still need to lower bulb some before next sitting)...but great image quality and brighness.....after I put my reflector on the spillage now evenly circles the triplet about 1-1.5" in all directions....Is this normal? My guess is no, and that the arc isn't centered (i butchered the bowl...pics when I turn it off and it cools down)....

The image is still very bright and I really cant imagine it getting a whole lot better....just wanted some comments....Brain???

TIA everyone.

could it be stray light from the lightbox you are using maybe the metal flashing or something take a pic of your finished lightbox so we can see it.

nah, cant be stray light from lightbox, thats what the rear fresnel does....

I'm fairly certain it is bulb/reflector alignment.....my reflector, although spherical, is probably too small for bulb... will have to experiment today.

Provided you didn't change the bulb/rear fresnel alignment, the spillage should be the additional light gathered by the reflector. When you manage to align the reflector perfectly this will enhance the image brightness instead of being lost in spillage. It will be interesting to hear if you notice any difference.

I think the spillage needs to come down and to the left. There is a bright spot just above the tiplet on the top right that could be on your screen.
