After spending lots of time on the forums, I have decided to frame my fresnels and LCD in wood frames.

When framing, do I have to make the dimensions of the frame exactly at the furthest row of active pixels to prevent strange images on the sides and tops and bottoms of the projected image? Or can I just mount the lcd so in slots and not worry about it as long as I am not covering up the active area.

I have the same question with the fresnels.

I guess the big question is this. Does the LCD block all of the extra unwanted light/projection so that if I seal the area around the LCD, it doens't matter if my front fresnel area is bigger than the LCD projection image?

Any help would be appreciated!

Nevermind. I think the question was already answered a couple of posts down.

Light will only pass through the visible area of the LCD, not the "dead" area. that is cool. Makes everything easier.
