Which one of the many LCD's out there do I need to buy?
What do I need to look for: contrast ratio? Brightness?
I have looked on the forum but I have not got a clear answer yet.
thanks so much

It all depends on what you want. As a general rule of thumb, higher constrast ratios and lower response times are always better. I've heard that 25ms is good enough for DVDs but may be a little slow for games. Also, I'm pretty sure the guide quotes at least 400:1 constrast ratio for the LumenLab PJ.

If you want to build a standard LumenLab PJ, you are going to want to get a 15 inch LCD panel (note: The standard lens kit only supports up to 15 inches). If you want a larger panel you're going to want to go for the Pro lens kit. Hope this helps.

Way too expensive imho, $276 + s/h and it doesn't even have DVI? One thing I suggest is patience and research when comparing lcd's. Doing a search here for monitor model #'s will yield more info then you could ever digest wink.gif

As dave mentions above, most everyone has been leaning towards the samsungs, benq's and cmv's. If cost is an issue then i suggest you keep an eye peeled at icuepc as their cmv ct 520D w/DVI goes on sale for $169 about every other week. It seems to be getting good feedback in our forums as well.
