OK, i was reading about the hotspot problem and then i had a look at your plans.

I was thinking about why the hotspot is there and then i notice that the mirror is directly behind the screen.

Now what if you could modify the plan so the mirror is at the bottom facing upwards but is NOT directly behind the screen ?

What do you think ??

Well the screen would still need to be pointed straight at the mirror, so it would have to be tilted back. Otherwise mirrors could be used for keystone correction.

Anyway, yeah that would get rid of hotspotting, but hotspotting it not just an annoyance in itself, it also says that the light is not being evenly distributed, and a lot of it is just going right through it.

but aren't projection tv's notorious for not being able to distribute light evenly? only at a certain eye level can you see the whole picture?
