Would love to hear if any of you guys from India have made one and also where to get the parts from.

Hi
I am Indian and going to complete the lumenlab projector this week end. I found all the parts in India and bought only lenses and triplets from lumenlab. I am using HPiT 400w Philips bulb and other accessories like fans etc bought locally. For lcd I am using benq567s v2.

LL e ballast is really very expensive with shipping it cost me around 7000 rs "ballast only" but my frend i have seen that in market phillips bulbs are of very low color temp also as im having osram bulb very short arc if compared to others it produces 32-33000 lumens with SON BALLAST and when used with metal halide ballast it produces 26000 lumens 6100k color temp 90 cri ....can u tell what r specifications of ur bulb also where u get benq for 12,800 here it cost around 14k but i think
CMV has more colors and provide more saturation in image quality.......ill show u my results soon.....im thinking of buying new lcd thinking what should i go for benq or cmv .........my yahoo id is harkamal_tall

Does the Benq LCD have any known FCC issues?
Where have u guys reached on your projectors? I am yet to purchase parts for mine.

Thanks.
I will post my projector box picture.. But little later..
I am using wall as screen (cream color or light yellow). Still have to build or buy screen.
I haven’t tried getting the lenses and fresnel locally.. got it from lumenlab. so i don’t know weather you can get it locally.
Projector dimension is 27" L / 15" W / 11" H as inside.
Built it with 0.75" mdf + plywood.

Hi joji
You should say toughened glass instead of tampered glass there.
Check with shop people about right ballast and bulb while buying.

I went today and exchanged the Ballast. No one knows what is toughened glass but they tell me arcylic plasic is heat resistant.
I dont know where to look in there... too many glass shops BUT so far no luck

Mar 9 2005, 08:23 AM
Try Mahaveer Glass shop ( i guess its shop number 32 in BVK iyengar road ) for tampered or tuff glass.
