Hi started my projector finally, at the moment im using an ohp with a strip lcd resting on top just as a test but im already impressed.
The LCD is a Samsung SyncMaster 570v (Does have FFC issue, looking for a place in the uk for an extension, 20 way o.5mm pitch)
The Cost so far
LCD £80.
OHP £45.
TOTAL £125
I did find a place in the uk called rs electronics for ffcs but you need to buy them in lots of 5, and the zif connectors you have yo buy in 10's. so if anyone else knows somewhere please tell.
Just got to get my bulb, ballast and tempered glass, then im on my way.
Heres the pics anyway....

Yes,very nice box,and the focus mech should work well. Those drawer runners are expensive.(I "borrowed" mine!!!) from a working filing cabinet.(Hope my dad doesn't need to open the bottom drawer any time soon!!

).
But the ball bearing type are just so smooth. They work really well,so are worth it in my opinion.
Best of luck,cheers P.
