Wow, thanks man, this is very helpful. smile.gif Which monitor are you stripping? Wait a minute.... I noticed you peeled a strip off towards the beginning, brain said you're not supposed to have to peel anything! ohmy.gif

Blake,
I believe that was just some tape securing some of the wiring... you will have to remove that. There are no "films" on the LCD area itself that need to be "peeled off", just a few diffuser sheets that get removed (they basically fall off by themselves) between the backlight and the LCD.

pp,
is the LCD working o.k. now ? i watched the video, and i have to say my heart was racing as you tilted the LCD around and the circuit board that was still connected was yanking on the FFC's and the driver board connected to the LCD.

nice video.

cheers,
gs

Yeah I thought that you were playing us at first because you really went at that sucker! When I stripped my lcd back in January I was freaked, and went ultra slow and was very cautious. But it looks like you got yours out in good time. Thanks for the video, which by the way had a great downstream speed.

Oh ok I didn't know that. tongue.gif And yah man my heart was racing as well, I thought he was gonna tear an FFC connector or something, looked like he was being a little too rough with the LCD.
