238. was the price (plus shipping -- but now he has a bank-transfer arrangement, eliminating the previous WesternUnion nonsense/fee).
That price was for the Samsung...the LPhilips may (or not) be a couple-bucks more?
The RTD-board is nothing to 'write-home-about', but is fully-functional on both-panels re: vga...
And, he'll sell panel sans-controller...[best pricing I've seen, by far...and his frez and polars are a nice-deal, also].

svideo, tuner, component (DVD player), VGA (XBOX360) was tested. the controller is more or less okay, except that neither brightness, nor contrast control working for me.

Anyone know what the refresh rate is for the LG panel ?

And how is the 1920x1200 quality hooking a computer to it through VGA ?

Would this work with a SHARP LQ150X1DG44 lcd?

Switz a wunxga controller works with wuxga panels. your sharp is xga.

SFIJ, I meant to ask, if you kook up a PC to the VGA input, set it a resolution 1920x1200 which is the native resolution WUXGA, how is the quality ?

I know DVI will probably be very good, unfortunately, this board doesn't have DVI input.

unfortunately my athlon system is not fast enough to test it, so I did it with my xbox360 - driving the gear at 1080p - watching jarhead, syriana, rumor has it, swordfish, serenity, apollo13 - the results were reasonably good. but i haven't compared the results with DVI
note that, however - since the notebook panels ar 6bit LCD-s, dithering could be useful, but the realtek controller don't do that.

It's little bit compilcated. The realtek scaler is definitely worth $70, it also has a PAL tuner, remote control - but it has ceratin flaws. winmate G2a is $420 - w/o tuner, w/o remote. I can buy the kontron fro $320, but i should do the setup for kontron. kontron has no tuner/no remote control, too. Winmate is guaranteed to work, kontron is promised to have HDCP support.
