I just was thinking, When I make my box I am gonna be using primarily to play xbox. I really like playing in widesreen and I dont want to lose that when playing it 60" bigger. Are there any widescreen monitors that you guys could recommend?
Thanks in advance.

I will be using a widescreen soon. Its on order from a company in Germany, but unfortunately its thier end-of-line stock. But when it gets here, I can give you the model number and details so you can locate one, if you wish.

Its a Hitachi 7" TFT for experimenting with a new light source. It has good inputs, 2 x video (phono) and 1 x VGA. The response time is nothing too rapid, only 30ms, and contrast is nothing special 200:1. But it has been tested by an experienced, independant DIY projector building crew, in Germany, with good results. Its also remote control, has an excellent OSD, and another nice factor is its capability of handling temps up to 50 degrees Centigrade. With some NVidia graphics cards, you can even control the angle at which the picture is displayed on the LCD. This means super-easy, non-mechanical keystone adjustment, on both axis, (diagonaly) cool.gif

You will see the results from this panel when I have completed my cool-running, micro projector.

A widescreen panel isn't needed for widescreen gaming. A normal 4:3 panel can display 16:9 "widescreen" through software and hardware means.

Hope this clears a little confusion.

Well take Halo2 for example, It can be played in widescreen but it looks streched out and that does bother me... alot! So I really want something that will get the great results I am looking for.

Since I already have a 42" HDTV I am looking for an overall jump in not only quality but ofcourse viewing size. Ideally I am looking to project atleast 80" on the wall. Which from reading is fairly easy so true widescreen gaming is a must!
