For everyone that's asked me to post results...

This is a pic of Halo 2 from my Xbox running on my CRT monitor (LCD is broken). I used the VDigi VD-Z3 transcoder. It includes the component Xbox cables and has a 5.1 surround sound output. I haven't fiddled with the settings yet because the image I got out of the box is all I could ask for. I imagine it's the same results on an LCD or a projector.

VD-Z3 left on factory settings:

Fantastic! That looks great. I ordered one of those last week. How long did it take for yours to arrive?

I'll have to check exactly when I get home, but it took 1-2 weeks. Not bad for me because I was waiting for my LL shipment as well.

Thanks for the picture, that thing looks great! I was trying to figure out if I should buy the vdigi or the x2vga, but Im pretty much sold on the vdigi. I will be ordering one to use on my xbox when i get my projector setup. Have you tried hooking it up to a progressive scan dvd player and seen if it works there too? I have heard its supposed to but never seen any first hand accounts.

Don't own a progressive scan player, so no. I'm sure with time I'll be able to test it more, but so far it's just what I hoped.

its all about the halo 2

The shipping time was two weeks or a tad more. This included the Christmas holiday, however.

I just posted a thread about VDigi not knowing someone already wrote about it. biggrin.gif

Here's my 2 cents about the product:

I bought this back in summer of last year. It's been working very well for my modded XBOX and the dozen games that I have. I guess since last summer, they added the 5.1 audio output cable as well which makes this thing even more amazing.

Anyone try this on a 17" LCD with 720P? Did it letterbox the picture?

That depends on the monitor not the VDigi.
