Well, I do have a fix..

..and it was pretty simple...so here goes.
There were issues of soldering the two FFC connectors together, so I thought that maybe I could super glue the connectors back to back connectors touching and that would be a simple fix. They touch and the glue held, but not well.
So, I did this, and it does work. I put one of the 6" extensions into the FFC connector, on the circuit board, and used sticky-sticky doulbe-sided tape on both sides of the extension. Meaning the tape holds the extension in place on the circuit board and in the FFC connector. Since tape is on both sides of the circuit board...it ain't moving at all.
Now, for the other end. I tried putting both ends in a blank FFC connector so the contacts would be touching each other, in the correct position, and then lock them into place, but they would not fit. So, what I did was use sticky tape, again, and positioned the extension and the FFC cable together, correct position, so they could not move. Then I put a couple of small sticks together on each side FFC cables where they are touching and then used a 2" C-clamp and squeezed it together, so the contacts are touching.
I plugged in my LTM1555BT and behold, it worked...I can move them and the screen does not flicker.
So, that is what I did. I could attach pictures, but all you would see is double sided tape and a C-clamp.
Any questions or comments...let me know.
