How do you know if it's V2? I've a FP557s, picture attached.
If it serves you, its measurements are 32'6 x 25 cm, that's with the metal frame.
The visible area is 30'5 x 22'9 cm.

I have the Benq FP557s-v2 - I believe. I'm at work now so I am not looking at it, but I got it from TigerDirect and the description says 'The FP557s-v2 offers a super-fast 16ms....' - but the title says 'BenQ FP557s / 15-Inch / 1024 x 768 / 16ms / Black-Silver / LCD Monitor. So, I looked at the packing slip and it doesn't specifically say V2. In any event, I'll post my measurements after I get home - just in case they are different from Nublar's.
picture attached. (I think...)

Thank.
Me too i dont know exactly how to tell if its a V2 but if i remember the V2 have NO FCC issue and the V2 are normally in Silver (most popular).
You can find V2 in white but ... its hard.
snappy_abby: I got the same monitor.. if you strip your monitor soon keep me updated about your measure. do you plan to keep the metal frame to have a ground ?.

I think you have the V1.. because the front panel are not the same as me and snappy_abby and i already saw the V2 in white and you dont have the same model.. but maybe its an exeption.. but im pretty sure you have a V1

I have stripped partially just to get the measurements of the frame because I do intend on using the metal frame. I didn't want to strip any further until I am ready to mount it in the box. I am paranoid about screwing up something. I figured it is safer still partially put together. I should be able to post the measurements this evening.

Oh yeah, and I confirmed that this is a V2. Was on one of the stickers on the back of the exterior casing.

I've seen a few posting on panel size is this just the glass of does it include the space required to give the FFC's good clearance?

The measurement is the frame only. I haven't removed the back light yet to measure clearence. Will hopefully have that today.

Here is my LCD all mounted using the metal frame fit into a wood frame showing the ffc/circuit board. Will have to make sure there is clearance for fresnel/keystoning. Still need to get out the ruler for exact measurements.

How did you get on with this monitor?
I am finding that the electronics case is thick and is causing me problems.

Did you make your box deeper to adjust for it?
