I am conisidering both of these for my build. They are similar in specs, and I was wondering if anyone has experience with these and has a preference of one over the other. Thanks!

Well, I'll add that I bought the 512N when it was on sale for $110 at Best Buy. It is also very easy to strip with no FFC issues. Either monitor will work just fine, so base your decision on what each one costs.

Do you think there will be any difference since th cmv states a 500:1 contrast ratio, and the samsung is 450:1. I know what is on paper does not always translate to much real difference. The cost difference is only about $10, so that does not really bother me.

Don't know how much of a gain/loss you would notice. Just go by price then.

Vroom,
Are you happy with the results you got from the samsung?

Haven't built the projector yet, but the monitor itself looked nice... until I fryed it (my own stupid fault). Go to the help forum and look for my "Guide to stripping Samsung 512N" to see pics.
