OK I got the pdf on working 15" LCDs and was wondering what can be added to this. My local PC store has a lot of refurbed LCDs and I would like to walk in with the biggest choice possible, that failing I'm going to a computer show. This is my first pj so I want the easiest possible build. I have a limited budget so I'm not able to spend more than 150 on an LCD. So any suggestions?

Well 150$, is a little low to get a very good LCD for only 50$ you can get a great one such as the benq 567 and the Amptron CMV CT-522A.

Try ebay for LCDs with broken back lights since you dont need it.

But while you looking, you want an LCD with a low response time such as 16ms which seems to be the best on 15in and a high contrast ratio, then check the lists of compatible and incompatible to see where you stand.

hope this helped

Well I put in a bid for the viewsonic vg150 on ebay. The seller says the backlight is burned out, but like you said, don't need that part. Hope to get it, now nobody go and snipe ya hear?

OK won a vg150 but without a power cord. Am I stuck dropping $35 on a replacement or are there any cheap ideas/suggestions?
