I'm using Oak PLywood for my box, it's 2 sided so both sides are purtty
Now I bought some High Temp BBQ paint and I was wondering if I need to prime it first or not? Any suggestions?
It's a shame to paint the oak as well, seeing as it's so purty!

You'll have to read the fine print. All paints differ.

Doubt you'd need to prime it.

IMO
Save that paint for a BBQ, you dont need anything like that. Hopefully you wont get that much heat.
Only need to paint the front of the box, all the off axis light will not make it through the polarizing lenses on either side of lcd panel.
Get yourself a foam brush, and a $2 pint can of flat black latex paint. Slop that paint in there, you dont want to be neat, you want as much texture and irregularity as you can manage.
Spray paint is wild overkill for this interior paint job. IMO.
Yah the oak is pretty, buy hopefully once your projector is up and running you wont be looking at the inside of it much.

Yes, do use flat black interior latex, and yes, use primer.
