Full Version: Focus point is low on front of box

Hello all,

My situation is that the light from the bulb is focused very low at the front of the box. (see photos)

My question is, what am I losing / Is it a problem to mount my projection lens low on the focusing box instead of in the center vertically ? I would rather not make a new box but if this is an issue, I certainly will.

The reason I ended up with this is because I built my box to the recommended dimensions without doing adequate planning. The center of my bulb is ~ 6.5 inches off the bottom. If I align the centers of the fresnels vertically with the center of my bulb, They are above the top of the box.

Thanks in advance,
- J

Can't you turn your beautifully built lamp unit sideways?

Yeah your vertical mounting has placed the lamp arc too high.
