I'd hate to get a 1024x768 when I can get a 1280x1024 monitor for only 50 bucks more. We flatly denied the 1280x1024 monitors shown on walmart.com because we haven't seen any before. Well maybe they're new?!! Maybe they are real! It does say "high resolution" and "sxga" A typo? Are we really sure? How could we varify it?

laptops are a different breed, those lcd's are 'different'. walmart has a pretty good return policy, if you wanna find out for sure, go buy it and test it out

if its not "as advertised" just return it within 30 days.
for that price, there's no way its an SXGA, and 15", and a no-name

As for the Sceptre, here are the specs from the manufactuers website:

As for ILO, I'd say araczynski's got it right. Buy it, check it out, and take it back if its mislabeled.
In my research, I did not find any third party reviews of the ILO monitor, but I did find out why no one else is selling it. WalMart recenly introduced ILO as its own in-store brand. no word on who the actual manufaturer is, but it seems WalMart/Sams Club will remain the only reseller.

Wife and i were out christmas shopping yesterday we happend to be at Sams and they had this item on display.. the iLO the card hanging above the LCD said 1280x1024 MAX res.. I was going to buy one but they were ouit <Tri-county Cincy, Ohio> I figured if the wally world website and the tag at sams both say 1280x1024 it must be right. But if not I'm sure I could return that bad boy real dammn quick since it was advertised falsely if it only does 1024x768
Wife and I are heading to Dayton Ohio later to the Sams there if they have on in stock there I will be buying it tonight. I will post results of my trip when I get back..

My guess it that it will address SXGA, or is mislabled, but is only XGA native. Hope I'm wrong.

My BenQ 567s had that feature, which surprised me (never seen it before).. It happily resamples a 1280x1024 input and displays it as it's native (1024x768)..

Welp my trip to Dayton Ohio sams was a bust, they didn't even carry the iLO 15" when I asked about them, I was told that they never heard of them, and I was promptly shown a Samsung 15"
Soo there goes my research for now.. I might just bite the bullet and try wally world to see if its truly native 1280x1024

ok spent the day putting these myths to rest. I bought both of the monitors from my local walmart. Brought them home even though the boxes BOTH say 1024x768 on them plain as day. Hooked them up and lo and behold they only did 1024x768. Took both of them back and got a refund..
Now theat fully puts a rest to this myth, I don't think any 15" is ever gonna do 1280x1024

Actually I posted about the ILO's (also known by a couple other names) from Wal-Mart, Sam's, and commonly found on eBay in an older thread. I emailed the manufacturer and I copied and pasted the whole response in my reply in this forum.
Indeed 1024x768, sorry I've been away for so long or I could have just pointed you to the link and saved you a lot of time and trouble.
