hi!
I built my projector a few months ago, so first of all this is a chance to say THANK YOU ALL for the great fun (and wonderful result) I had building.
Now I'd like to recycle the backlight module of my Benq FP557s in another project, mounting it in a scanner case to make one of those backlighted surfaces to draw on, so here is my question: what power input is required for the backlight to work? Does it take regular 12v?
I hope someone has experience with this!

The fluorescent backlight requires an inverter to step up the power to 10,000v+ voltages. If the Benq inverter was separate from any other control circuitry you may be able to supply it with 12v power.

I was wondering the same thing, as my inverter was separate from the panel. There's about 5 or six wires I'd have to hook up and I haven't been able to think of what they might be.
