Debating on just buying an OHP or going the full DiY route. But just to keep my options opened what are considered the best OHP's?

I would prefer one with a Metal Halide bulb already in it, so I dont have to hack it apart and fuss with wiring.

Any OHP projectors come with MH bulbs and not Halogen?

Also most of these OHP's have an 11.25 * 11.25 glass area. So thats the largest panel that can be put on. What is the dimensions of a regular 15" panel? Is the OHP too small?

i think most moniters are 12x8 b/c its 15" and its 3:4 (and pythagoras thereom gives a ratio of 3:4:5) not that shure though....but it IS 12x8 on my 15"

don't the OHP have a short bulb life as well ?

the ones i've seen at work actually have 2 bulbs installed on a slider, so you can change from one to the other midway thru that timewasting meeting. got a feeling they were MH .... i opened one up the other day at work for a peek

I heard somewhere that you can modify them with 15" fresnels. I dunno tho.

With all this modding it would be best to just build the projector. It's easier and works better.

I was doing the calculations and thinking about it. Your probably right, your better off building everything anyway.
