Hey everybody,
A little problem. In my picture i notice dark and lighter bars in dark scenes in games and movies. However, when the lcd is off its pretty much just plain white. I moved my fresnels around a bit but the problem seems to still be there. My bulb does not appear to be directly in the center of my reflector. Could this problem be a cause of the reflector, fresnel alignment, lcd problem?
I haven't been back in a while, enjoying my pj too much!

Are you using split fresnels?

yes

I should elaborate. I am using the standard lens kit, norpro and venture. The bars seem to be slighty curved and grayish compared to a black screen.

Alignment is critical for optimum results.

Playing with mine I have discovered that there is a huge difference in output and quality with even a small misalignment, particularly if it is a misalignment on more than one vector at a time. (Left, Right, Focus Point)

It pays to spend extra time on alignment -- I'd even go so far as to say it is the most critical factor to consider in the entire design/construction process to ensure the best quality results.

So, what I'm saying is: If you suspect that it's a little whacked, it's probably worse, and is more than likely the cause of your image problem.

Second thing to consider is scatter and reflection problems... stray light bouncing around in the forward light path (image) can also make for some odd image problems.

Hope that helps.

Also, how are you processing your signal?
