Hi! I just completed an OHP mod. Quite happy with the results so far, but the triplet in the lens head isn't terribly great to begin with and is beat up on top of that. I'd like to replace it. I see mention in posts here about a Lumenlab triplet for $30, but I go to the store and apparently they're just a stupid robotics company now? Seems like they should change the name, take "lumen" out...

Anyway, I've been looking on eBay for replacement triplets and not having any luck. Who sells these things anymore?

Try showing some respect for the company that got Diy Projectors on the map and who continue to fund this forum.

I think you should apologize for your lack of respect.

Since when is observation a lack of respect? There's nothing optical about their company anymore. You can buy a few odds and ends for projectors but no meat and potatoes. They've abandoned it all in favor of something completely different.

I am not making any comments about what they did for DIY projection in the past. That was great, and I appreciate it just like everyone else.

Right NOW, they appear to have abandoned the project entirely with the exception of these forums, which frankly could be anywhere. That's fact, and I observe that fact. If you think that's disrespectful and shouldn't happen, perhaps you should relocate to China where such squelching is valid.

I will not apologize for thinking robotics are stupid, nor will I apologize for OBSERVING the fact that they've abandoned the DIY projector market in favor of a new pet project. I will also not apologize for observing that the word "lumen" in their name no longer makes any sense.

Answer my question or not, but kindly roll up your self-righteousness and cram it.

Perhaps Jon was a little overzealous, but you're not helping things, here.

I've heard the "They should change their name" thing before. Why? Because their DIY projector inventory isn't up to your liking? The lumenlab forums where it all started (yes, LL started as a forum - selling parts came later) is still the definitive source of the best information regarding DIY projection.

Wonder what you thing about Radio Shack? They haven't sold many Radios the past couple of decades...

(We tend to consider LL ours, and a man defending is home is a dangerous thing. wink.gif )

I admit, I rose to the occasion there in my reply. I apologize for my tone in that. I withdraw my invitation to cram it.

And holy cow don't even get me started on Radio Shack smile.gif It's the same thing. They might as well call that place "Cheap Toy and Cell Phone Shack."

So srsly, where do you buy stuff like lens triplets anymore?

I tried.

Find your info someone else. I won't help someone who shows no respect.
