Hello,

I am planning my new project.

My Parts:

15.4 "WUXGA
450mm lens
and what we all need ...

The distance is about 155 - 155 inch

The diagonal is about 110 - 120 inch.

( in CM)
-!
!
! 135cm

-

!-----------! 240cm

Diagonal: 275cm

My question is, which lamp is best for the project?

250UHP, 400UHP, 400HQI or 575HQI??

I think the 575HQI is too hot. (?)
But I do not know, the 400HQI is enough for the distance ..
Are the UHP's better?
It is my 2nd Project, and this time everything will be perfect biggrin.gif

I'm thankful for every tip!

Sorry for my English, I hope the dimensions are correctly translated ^ ^

Thank you

The max lumens you will get with a 400 watt MH and a Pro reflector is 250 lumens.
The max lumens you will get with a 575 watt , pre-con , and reflector is 450 lumens.

The 400 watt lamp lasts 15,000 hours and costs about $50. The 500 watt lasts 1,000 hours and costs about $90.

You decide which one you think is best?

Thanks

What does pre-con?

And what is the difference between UHP and HQI? (Both are Metal-Halogen)

And one more ^ ^

I've been searching for a long time the Pro Reflector. I've just seen that you have him.
Where can I buy that?
Here in Germany I can not buy it.

Edit:
Ok...Precon= Condenser?
jonjandran
A pre-con is a pre-condenser. Basically a concave piece of glass that sits in front of the 575 watt lamp and intensifies the light directed towards the lcd.

Like this one in my 575 watt projector :

The Pro reflector is in back, the pre-condenser is in front and then a piece of safety glass.

Your safety glass is also an IR / uv filter?
