hi to all that will look upon this plog

i have decided to up grade my ohp project to a real projector (diy style)

time to get my third lcd $60
i have a 250W coil ballast (never expected it to be so large) $100
i have ordered a 4200k and 5000k 250W bulb $60 still waiting on
i have ordered a pro reflector $15 still waiting on

out of the ohp i have: $20
an un-split Fresnel (360mm from trip to fres, 360mm from fres to bulb)
trip (350mm to lcd)
a pre-con
a small reflector
2 mirrors

i have just used the same demenitions from the ohp

i am going to use 7ply for the base a 6mm mdf for the sides and top

Hey im doing the same at the moment! just taking my 9700 3m ohp and alot of custom wood! going good so far... i think! ohnoes.gif
if i could give some advice build your box with something lighter than 18mm custom wood (MDF board) mines the weight of a small baby.....
on a steam roller!! laugh.gif get some pics of the build!

i shouldve guessed! when i brought the two 400mm x 2400mm 18mm mdf boards up the stairs and complained that "shet this is heavy!"
currently building it in the middle of the lounge and the wife wondered if i was building a large coffee table first! biggrin.gif ..... smart ass.......
well this will be my tester projector! if this works well then i might shell out some coin and buy the proper parts! will be shipped from your country!! and our nz dollar isnt high enough to buy yet!! laugh.gif
