Hey yall long time no see.. I came across a RPTV 4:3 Mistabichi tv// 60 inch diag.. the coolant had leaked all over the boards and its dead .Shame to because the mirror is mint , the case is mint and the Fren Lens ( Screen does not have a single scratch ) what can I do with it ?? I thought maybe try to rig a cheap projector up in it .. I know its been done .. Oh well .. Maybe someone in Mississippi may want it for a project ??

I converted a 60" Mitsubishi about a year ago. As builds go it was both interesting and challenging. The end results where really quite impressive. This is particularly true if you have built in wall cabinetry.

You can buy a commercial projector with a dead lamp as little as $30 these days. Lamp burners can be sourced for cheap as well. The other alternative would be to take the projector apart from it's casing, bridge the optocouplers and use the hqi-ts with it. That would give you plenty of life.
