i have the lcd stripped and bottom and sides screwed in on the enclosure. I'm completely baffled by the wiring though. I've read several articles about wiring including the wiki and they're not very novice friendly.
Here is what I have:
A highly confusing ballast
it has wires marked with voltages, i will be using the 120v so i assume the others will be useless and a white tube shown that says contains an internal resistor

I have the lumenlab circuit breaker and switch

400 w bulb with mogul base

and the lumenlab 3 prong cord as well as one that came with the lcd

plus 8 feet of high gauge wire.

how do i connect the ballast to lightbulb and switches to everything else? I also have 12v volt fans handy... do i need to buy 120v fans?

SIMUL8R's link to the wiring diagram shows post #16 from 2004 and the basic diagram holds true. If deciphering diagrams is a challenge, my advice is to find a neighbor/friend that understands wiring diagrams and enlist their help. Nothing worse than frying your investment; maybe your hand. Safety first.

Hey thanks sim. I'm probably going to put the ballast and small pieces in a bag, print out all the diagrams i can find and take it to home depot and give them free reign.

Here is a nice simple wiring diagram that I found on someone else's plog. Can't give credit to the person that created it but it sure helped me get started.
