Anyone catch it?
I thought it was OK. Not great, but I'll keep watching.
Unfortunately it seemed a little too much like they're trying to be a new Battlestar Galactica replacement rather then a new Stargate spinoff:
- I almost choked on my soda when the girl says "We just dropped out of FTL". They've never used the term "FTL" in Stargate before, it was always referred to as "Hyperspace". "FTL" was coined in BSG.
- And WTF was up with the sex-scene at the beginning?! I mean, there was no nudity, but damn, they didn't leave much to the imagination. glad my 10 and 12 year olds, who were big fans of SG1 and Atlantis, had gone to bed already. SG1 and Atlantis were always fairly "family oriented" shows but I guess we won't be watching this as a family if this is indicative of the direction they're going to take...
