I have a Sony Video Projection System KP-7210PS (picture attached) which I am trying to find a new home for (hopefully not the rubbish tip!). It is free to a good home.

I have had the unit for over 11 years and for many of those years it was used as the primary tv. We stopped using the unit a couple of years ago and it has sat in our house ever since. As far as I can find the unit is from approx 1979 and should still be in working order.

The unit comprises a large screen mounted above the main projection box which includes a speaker (the speaker has never worked in the time I have owned the unit). The projection is via two lenses bounced off a fold-out mirror.

My parents have sold their house and are moving next week so the unit needs to go ASAP. I have tried finding someone to take it but have had no luck, and would much prefer the unit live on (even as spare parts) than end up junk.

I am located in Melbourne (Australia) and it would need to be picked up in the next couple of days. The unit is VERY heavy, so would require a couple of strong people to move it.

that is one Awwesome set, i wonder why it has 2 triplets, normally its 3 one for each red/green/blue or just 1

the screen looks like it has a torus type curve and is reflective, so cool, was it bright?

hope it finds a home

Gone to a good home...

We did offer it to Sony as a museum piece but they weren't interested!

The visible colour thru the triplets was green and a kind of violet, it was reasonably bright off the screen but pretty useless during daylight.

Mostly it was BIG! biggrin.gif

Lots of good memories, really hope the new owners get alot out of it...
